Funeral services for Dr. Philo Jones, 86, former Salt Laker, who died Thursday in Portland, Ore., were held there today, with commitment at the Portland crematorium, according to an Associated Press dispatch.
Born in Talmadge, Ohio, he attended the University of Michigan and was graduated from the medical department of the university of Cincinnati. After practicing in the mid-west, Dr. Jones came to Salt Lake where he practiced from 1891 to 1909. Going to Portland in 1909, he practiced a few years and then retired, the report said.
