Obituary of Rose S. Nichols
Rose Stewart Nichols, age 86, died January 28, 1993 at Delta.
Born June 11, 1906 at Benjamin, Utah to Franklin Henry and Harriet Elizabeth Gull Stewart. Married Isaac Stewart March 1, 1927 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 27, 1938. Married David E. Nichols July 18, 1940 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died October 10, 1973. Last survivor of 15 children. Active member of LDS Church serving in Primary and Relief Society. Loved quilting, handwork and cooking.
Survived by sons and daughters: Mrs. Ray (Gloria) Martin and Mrs. Hyrum (Blanch) Bond, both Salt Lake City; Mrs. Bill (Elaine) Rose, Highland; Voy Dean and Carolyn Stewart, Sandy; Ralph and Margaret Nichols, Delta; 21 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Carole.
Funeral services Monday, February 1, 1993, 11 a.m. Oasis Deseret LDS Chapel. Friends may call at Nickle Mortuary, 190 So. Center, Delta, Sunday from 7-8 p.m. and at the church on Monday 10-10:45 a.m. Burial in the Meadow Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
