LAYTON--Clarence P. (Pete) Baird, 53, Union Pacific agent at Layton and former resident of Box Elder and Weber counties, died of a heart attack Sunday at 7 p.m. at Roy while visiting friends.
Surviving, besides his widow, Layton, are two sons, Gaylen H. and Robert D. Baird, Layton; two brothers, Henry B. Baird, Valverda, and Malcolm J. Baird, Willard; three sisters, Mrs. Racheal B. Nelson and Mrs. Mona B. Ward, Willard and Mrs. Pearl B. Bowen, Ogden.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., at the Layton chapel, by Bishop Rulon Whitesides. Burial will be in the Willard Cemetery.
