Last Respects Paid To Matron of Heber
HEBER, Feb. 1.--(Special)--Funeral services were held at the stake tabernacle Saturday for Mrs. Caroline Jones Lewis, wife of Marion B. Lewis, who died Thursday, after a week's illness of flu-pneumonia. The services were under the direction of Bishop Frederick Giles. Prayers were by Orson Hicken and J. Claud Hicken. Music was by the Heber Third ward choir with a vocal quartet by Nellie Ohiwiler, Oro Giles, Katie Forbes and Florence Hicken. Speakers were Bishop Frederick Crook, David W. Hicken and D.A. Broadbent. Interment was in the Heber cemetery.
Mrs. Lewis was born at Heber, Dec 22, 1897. Four of her nine children together with her husband survive: Mrs. Ruefanacht[sic], Salt Lake; Reed, Stella and Earl Lewis, Heber, also seven brothers and eight sisters.
